Anmitsu Hime (Sugar Princess) is another Japan TV drama series based on a succesful manga series written by Shosuke Kurakane. An anime is not the only adaptation was made due to its very successful run, but also a sega video game was created.
The story is about a tomboy princess, Princess Anmitsu, aged 16, who has no love interest in her life and worries her parents. Despite their concern, Anmitsu runs away from the castle to venture into the commoners' life. During her daring adventure, she befriends a group of children who make a living by pick-pocketing. At the same time, she finally meets her prince charming Senbe, the leader of the group. However, she soon finds herself in an awkward position when she learns of the children's new plot: they are planning to steal the treasures from her own castle.
The drama will revolve in Princess Anmitsu adventure. She is basically a perky, mischievous and a very curious tomboy princess who constantly causes trouble and havoc around her. She lives in a well protected sheltered life in her castle and her greatest dream is to go out in the real world. The Princess Anmitsu characters are starring by Inoue Mao who is very popular in Hana Yori Dango series along with Koide Keisuke (Nodame Cantabile SP), Natsuki Mari, Izumiya Shigeru and many more.
